Dear exhibitors,

Over the past 17 years, we have succeeded in developing the Water, Energy, Technology, and Environment Exhibition (WETEX) into the region’s prestigious specialised exhibition in vital industries, held annually under the directive of HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE, Ruler of Dubai, and under the patronage of HH Sheikh Hamdan bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Ruler of Dubai, Minister of Finance, and President of Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA).

The 18th WETEX, to be held from 4 – 6 October 2016, will be the biggest meeting ground for investors and decision makers from energy, water and environment sectors, under the theme ‘At the Forefront of Sustainability’.

Through elaborately-planned networking events, keynote sessions conducted by top experts and visits by international delegations, WETEX will ensure that exhibitors get to interact with key decision makers, investors, buyers and traders.

Spanning nine large halls at the Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre, WETEX is an annual destination for thousands of serious players from the energy, water and environment related fields.

For the third year in a row, WETEX will be organised under the umbrella of Green Week, which features a series of community-oriented environment activities. This makes WETEX a unique exhibition, attracting diverse social segments as well as organisations. It also gathers participants from dozens of countries, bringing world-class expertise under one roof. The event will host a series of events and activities related to the sustainability of energy and water resources as well as environment.

We, at DEWA, are looking forward to welcome you to WETEX 2016, which will showcase new technologies, products and solutions in the water, energy, and environment sectors. It will also present a number of investment opportunities through the presence of exhibiting companies and international trade visitors.

DEWA organised the annual SmarTech as part of the 17th Water, Energy, Technology, and Environment Exhibition (WETEX 2015), to shed the light on the key challenges in the environment sector, and come up with innovative eco-friendly solutions that support the economic growth while preserving natural resources and protecting the environment.
