Leaders and C-level executives to discuss collaboration at WETEX 2024 in support of global climate action
As part of the 26th Water, Energy, Technology and Environment Exhibition (WETEX), prominent leaders and specialised C-level executives will come together to discuss key opportunities and pressing challenges in the sustainability, water, and energy sectors. The discussions will also explore the vital role of decision-makers in promoting public-private partnerships and establishing the necessary policies to support global climate action. Over the three-day event, the Leadership Roundtable at WETEX will focus on critical topics, including taking concrete actions to combat climate change, accelerating the journey to net zero, driving energy transformation, and achieving sustainable development alongside low-emission economic and social growth for all.
Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA) organises WETEX annually under the directives of HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai. The event will be held from 1 to 3 October 2024 at the Dubai World Trade Centre.
“WETEX plays a key role in supporting the UAE's efforts to foster collaboration and unite efforts to ensure a greener and brighter future. Following the positive momentum generated by COP28, which was hosted by the UAE at Expo City Dubai in November - December 2023, WETEX aims to promote communication between high-level officials and decision-makers. The event will focus on mobilising funding, supporting partnerships and sustainable innovations, and creating a collaborative environment to exchange best international practices and innovative solutions,” said HE Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer, MD & CEO of DEWA, Founder and Chairman of WETEX.
“As a proud sponsor of the Leadership Roundtable at WETEX, we are dedicated to driving impactful conversations that address global climate ambitions, particularly in the areas of water management, artificial intelligence, and sustainability education. This event goes beyond being a discussion platform; it is a catalyst for transformative change. By uniting visionary leaders across various industries and through cross-sector collaboration, we aim to accelerate the transition to a green economy, ensuring that our efforts contribute meaningfully to the global climate agenda," said Hani Tohme, Managing Partner, Roland Berger Middle East.
