Promotion Description:
The WETEX 2025 raffle is organised by Dubai Electricity & Water Authority PJSC (DEWA). The raffle will grant an Electric vehicle to two (2) lucky winners. The winners will be selected via electronic raffle on the 3rd day of the exhibition at 5:30pm at the DEWA Main Stand in DWTC.
Eligibility:
To be eligible for the raffle, one must be at least 18 years of age and must attend all three days of the WETEX 2025 exhibition. All employees of DEWA and its subsidiaries, WETEX and DWTC organisers, guest relations staff, speakers, committee members, volunteers and exhibitors are not eligible to enter the raffle draw.
Official Raffle Prize:
The prize for the raffle is an electric vehicle. Please note that the raffle prize does not include insurance, registrations, logistics or other related expenses that may be incurred while collecting the car from the electric vehicle distributor. The winner will need to make their own arrangements for the foregoing.
Winner Selection
The raffle will take place on 2 October 2025 and two winners will be chosen by an electronic draw, based on the WETEX 2025 visitors’ entrance database. The winner will be announced at the DWTC venue soon after the raffle ends and will be notified by phone and email.
Verification of Winner
All potential winners are subject to verification by the WETEX 2025 organisers, whose decisions are final and binding in all matters related to the raffle. The raffle result will be considered final after the visitor’s eligibility has been verified and confirmed by the organisers. Potential winners must continue to comply with all terms and conditions of these Official Rules, and winning is contingent on the fulfilment all the conditions and requirements. If a potential winner of the prize cannot be contacted within seven (7) days after the event, they forfeit the prize, which will be given to the next eligible winner. In the event the prize winner is disqualified for any reason, WETEX 2025 organisers will award the prize to an alternate winner chosen by random draw involving all remaining eligible entries. Winners must present their electronic badges and personal identifications, including their passport or ID, when asked to prove eligibility.
Release
Visitors and winners agree to indemnify and hold harmless WETEX 2025 organisers, DEWA suppliers, distributors and advertising/promotion agencies, as well as each entity’s officers, directors, employees and agents (collectively, the “Released Parties”) from and against any claim or cause of action, including, but not limited to, personal injury, death or damage to or loss of property, arising out of participation in the raffle or the receipt, use or misuse of any prize.
Privacy
By participating in the draw, the participant/winner is deemed to have given due consent to WETEX 2025 organisers and DEWA and its agents to use their name, photograph, voice, opinion and/or hometown and state for promotional purposes across any media, worldwide, free of any fee, payment or consideration. The winner’s name and details will be announced publicly.
General Conditions
WETEX 2025 organisers reserve the right to cancel, suspend and/or modify the raffle, or any part of it, if fraud or other factor beyond their reasonable control impairs the integrity or organisation of the raffle, as determined at their sole discretion, without any obligation to disclose the reasons or justification for it. In such event, WETEX 2025 organisers reserve the right to award the prize at random from among eligible entries received. WETEX 2025 organisers have the sole discretion to disqualify any individual suspected of tampering with entry cards and the process or operation of the raffle or any other promotion, or any individual found behaving an unsportsmanlike, fraudulent or disruptive manner. The visitor shall not have any right to question the raffle’s administration, its related procedures or the validity of the prize declaration. The prizes are not transferable or exchangeable for cash or any other items.
Limitation of Liability and Disclaimer
The Organising Parties, including DEWA and/or its affiliates shall not be liable for:
(1) any incorrect or inaccurate information, whether caused by visitors, printing errors or by any of the equipment or programming associated with or used in the raffle;
(2) unauthorised human intervention/interruption in any part of the process of the raffle;
(3) technical or human errors that may occur in the administration of the raffle or the processing of entries;
(4) any injury or damage to persons or property which may be caused, directly or indirectly, in whole or in part, from a visitor’s participation in the raffle or through the receipt or use or misuse of any prize.
(5) any defect, damage or loss that may be found/incurred in the raffle award
(6) for any indirect or consequential loss or damage, loss of profit, etc, or
(7) for erroneous omission, deletion or loss of visitor data depriving a visitor’s participation in the raffle.
Disputes
Except where prohibited, the visitor agrees that all disputes, claims and causes of action arising out of or connected with this raffle or any prize awarded shall be resolved amicably, failing which it shall finally and exclusively be settled by the courts in emirate of Dubai.
Governing provisions
This raffle shall be governed by this terms and conditions and the applicable laws of Dubai. Your participation in the raffle draw implies that you have accepted and agreed to be bound by these terms and conditions, and any other instructions, terms and conditions that the organisers may issue.
